Auction of Spectrum in 1800 MHz and 900 MHz Band Completes Another Step

The applicants for the Auction of Spectrum in 1800 MHz and 900 MHz band here today submitted the Bidder Ownership Compliance Certificate to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), thus completing another step in this Auction process. Earlier this week DoT had published the ownership details of the 8 applicants. With this, 7 steps have been completed in the process of Auction as per the revised Auction Timetable issued by DoT; which are:

1.      Issue of Notice Inviting Applications (NIA) - 12^th  December 2013;

2.      Pre-bid Conference - 20^th  December 2013;

3.      Last date for seeking clarifications on NIA - 24^th  December 2013;

4.      Clarifications to NIA - 2^nd  January 2014;

5.      Last date for submission of Applications - 15^th  January 2014; and

6.      Publication of ownership details of Applicants - 20^th January 2014;

7.      Bidder Ownership Compliance Certificate – 23^rd January 2014.

       Now, the next step in the scheme of things is the assessment regarding Pre-qualification of Bidders, which shall be done on 25^th  January 2014. The Auction is to start on 3^rd February 2014.
