The Minister further expressed that the Ministry gives 30% capital subsidy to establishment of sun based water warmers all in all class States and 60% capital subsidy in extraordinary classification States which are North Eastern States, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. For establishment of sun oriented photovoltaic lighting frameworks 30% capital subsidy constrained to Rs.135/ - for every watt top relying on their ability and design is accessible.

The Ministry is likewise giving 40% subsidy constrained to Rs. 180/ - for every watt top for sun powered home lighting frameworks and little limit photovoltaic frameworks through National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Commercial Banks and Regional Rural Banks.
