World Bank Santions US$ 74 Million for Uttarakhand Workforce in India

A loan agreement of US$ 74 Million was signed by India and World bank for Uttarakhand Workforce Development Project (UKWDP), today . The agreement was signed  between Mr. Sameer Kumanr Khare on behalf of India and Mr. Jorge Coarasa. Mr Khare is Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India and Mr. Jorge Coarasa is the acting country director of the world bank in India.

A Project Agreement was also signed by Dr. Iqbal Ahmed, Additional Secretary, Skill Development and Employment, Government of Uttrakhand and Mr. Jorge Coarasa, Acting Country Director, World Bank.

The Project has a 5-year grace period, and a maturity of 17 years. The closing date for the Project is 30th June, 2023.
