The 'Framework of the twelfth Five Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China' demonstrates that three hydropower ventures on the standard of the Brahmaputra River in Tibet Autonomous Region have been affirmed for usage by the Chinese powers. A hydropower venture at Zangmu is now under development. Government deliberately screens all improvements on the Brahmaputra River. As a lower riparian State with respectable secured client rights to the waters of the River, India has passed on its perspectives and concerns to the Chinese powers, including at the largest amounts of the Government of the People's Republic of China. India has urged China to guarantee that the diversions of downstream States are not hurt by any exercises in upstream ranges. Amid the visit of Vice President to China from 26-30 June 2014, the two Governments marked an Implementation Plan on Provision of Hydrological Information of Brahmaputra River in surge season by China to India.

This Information was given by response the Minister of state in the Ministry of External Affairs Gen. Retd. V. K. Singh in Lok Sabha today.
