YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) made a major decision on Thursday, announcing the expansion of the Medical Device Park. YEIDA has added 150 acres to the project. Initially, 350 acres were allocated for this Medical Device Park, but this has now been increased to 500 acres. The aim of this YEIDA project is to attract more investment and develop the region as a hub for medical manufacturing.

YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh said, "We initially planned to build the Medical Device Park on 350 acres, but due to growing investor interest, it is now being expanded to 500 acres. So far, 179 acres of land has been allotted to 74 companies. Of these, 36 companies have completed lease deeds. One company has completed construction, while work is ongoing for 11 companies. Due to strong investor interest, we are preparing to expand the Medical Device Park to 500 acres."

Arun Vir Singh stated that more than 40 Indian and international companies have expressed interest in investing in the Medical Device Park. Flights are expected to resume from Noida International Airport after May, which will also spur significant growth for the industry in the YIDA region. The India MedTech Expo is scheduled to be held in June 2025 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, with more than 200 medical device companies expected to participate. Here, YEDA will showcase government schemes and local investment opportunities to attract more companies to set up operations in the Medical Device Park.
